Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by Tahleen at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because due to a love of lists and what better way to celebrate lists than with book related ones?

This weeks topic is my top ten books I want to reread:

1. The Southern Vampire series (aka Sookie Stackhouse books)… I know there are so many of them. I have read the first 10 but before I started Book Nerd. I’d love to re-read them for the purposes of reviewing each one. I loved them all so so much.
2. The Twilight Saga - I read these a few years ago, and am curious to see if I still love this series now if I re-read it.
3. The Hunger Games trilogy - I think I actually will re-read this as the movies come out to compare with the movies directly.
4. Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce - One of the first YA books I really read and adored. I would love to go back there now. I have such good memories reading this book!
5. Pretty much any Goosebumps book by R.L Stein. I read them all as a child, and this series contributed to my ongoing love affair with reading. I would stay up “late” as a kid reading with a torch under the doona cover. Each chapter ended with the biggest cliffhanger, you couldn’t stop reading!
6. Ditto with any of The Babysitters Club books. Claudia was my favourite! I think I read most (if not all) of these books, and some of them multiple times.
7. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee - I read this for year 10 English class, and absolutely ate this book up. I didn’t think I was the type to love the “classics” but this book was just amazing. I’d love to re-read this at some stage.
8. The Harry Potter series - I am yet to read books 4 - 7 for the first time, but I have read and re-read the first three books and I really love them. I can see myself re-reading them again in the future. I plan of course to finish the other books first too! But I find this series to be very easy to re-read.
9. Any book by Enid Blyton that includes Moonface! lol What fantastic childhood memories. I remember the two weeks or so I was off school with the chicken pox. I would have been about 10 or 11 or so and I just devoured book after book. I loved Enid Blyton.
10. Rowan of Rin by Emily Rodda - Completely not my style of book normally, however I remember in grade 5 our teacher read this book to us over the course of a term and I just remember being absolutely transfixed. I’d love to get my hands on a copy if I could now!
So… that is my top 10!
