Top Ten Authors I’d Love To Have At My Thanksgiving Feast

I live in Australia so we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, so to make it International friendly I am just going to base my answers on 10 Authors I would love to go to a dinner party with!

10. J.K Rowling - Since I am certain this is a given and everyone will have J.K. on their lists, I thought I would get this out of the way immediately. Of course everyone wants J.K at their dinners! It’s J.K!!!!

9. Gayle Forman - Her books If I Stay and Where She Went had me speechless. I think they are at the top of the list for contemporary YA books currently. She has such an incredible way with words and knows how to stir emotion.

8. Cassandra Clare - I think she’d have some really cool stories to tell, and I definitely have questions about The Mortal Instruments series too!

7. Lauren Oliver - Because she just seems really laid back and cool. Really looking forward to the second book in the Delirium series, because her last book left me on a cliffhanger. I would try and find out what’s happening in the next book although she’d never spill. lol

6. Ally Condie - It’d be cool to see the discussion amongst all the dystopian authors in one room together! So many amazing minds in one place! I really am enjoying Ally’s work - I’ve read Matched and am about to start with Crossed.

5. Veronica Roth - I’d love to pick her brain, she seems fascinating. And to come up with such an incredible plot as she did with Divergent has me in awe! I’d love to talk to her if I could refrain from being a fan girl.

4. Libba Bray - She would keep all my guests entertained and make them roll on the floor in laughter! She is charasmatic and her books are really easy to read because you spend most of it laughing!

3. Stephanie Perkins - Because anyone who writes contemporary romance and has me absolutely loving it and begging for more has to be amazing. And she is. Her books are just delishious and wonderful and *sigh*… just read them. Anna & The French Kiss and Lola & The Boy Next Door. It’s like a guilty pleasure.. but without the guilt..

2. Lauren DeStefano - Cause I love her tweets on Twitter and because she is so interactive and open with her fans. She is an absolute sweetheart!

1. Jackson Pearce - She would also bring the “LOLS” to any dinner party! I absolutely love her youtube channel and constantly laugh out loud watching her. I adored Sisters Red and Sweetly as well.
