OMG…. I went to the 9:30pm Gold Class session of The Hunger Games last night. It was amazing!!! This is spoiler free also, so I’m not going to give anything way for those of you hanging out to see it!

There was a few minor changes throughout the movie where necessary, and I get why they did it. Certain changes were made that didn’t affect the overall story or outcome of the movie because either it was introducing another character to the mix or to simplify things a little bit. But as a hardcore fan it didn’t bother me too much.

The costumes and the sets were amazing… they did a fantastic job of bringing Panem to life in my opinion, and the costumes for the citizens of The Capitol were breathtaking! I loved the costumes for Peeta and Katniss also, they did a really great job of creating them (as I had often wondered what they had in store!).

The acting was REALLY good. I cried not once, but at TWO points during this movie… the first part being the reaping, which was just too sad. And then of course, the part where I imagine we’ll all have a teary and that is Rue. Oh wow. Emotional! I also want to just say I really loved Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, and I didn’t actually think I was going to, but he did a really fantastic job and there was a really beautiful moment between Katniss and him during the movie that almost had me crying all over again. lol

The movie stayed really true to the movie I felt, and the ending was fantastic.. it’s going to lead straight on to the next movie!
