Speculating on SpecFic!

Who is it? Speculating on SpecFic

What is it? Blog

Who is behind the blog? Shaheen

Where can I find them? Website | Twitter | Facebook | Bloglovin | Instagram

A bit about the blog:

Speculating on SpecFic is an awesome Aussie blog which is dedicated to speculative fiction (fantasy, science fiction, horror, supernatural, mythology etc). Shaheen is also passionate about Aussie YA, and runs the #OZYAChat on Twitter (if you missed any, make sure you check out the awesome recaps)

What’s so great about it?

Speculating on SpecFic is really a non-stop for everything speculative fiction. In my opinion Shaheen is the master of all that is speculative fiction - if I ever have a question regarding this genre, I would run to her. And I have directed a few people her way when they get confused about differences between sub-genres (ie the difference between paranormal and urban fantasy) or any other questions around speculative fiction… after all, if Shaheen doesn’t know, then it isn’t worth knowing.

Another passion of Speculating on SpecFic is Aussie YA. Which is great for helping Aussie’s find their next read or introducing international readers to an author they may not know. And bless her cotton socks, she even helps us by producing Aussie YA titles checklists The 2015 checklist can be found on the blog as well!

So along with all this awesome, you can find reviews, SpecFic101 posts, monthly “books to look out for” and some awesome blog tours and cover reveals. Speculating on SpecFic also has an amazing monthly newsletter you can sign up for to ensure you don’t miss out on the latest YA news!

Who is it recommended to?

Fans of YA, especially fans of any form of speculative fiction (fantasy, science fiction, horror, supernatural etc), as well as those who love Aussie YA.

Do you love Speculating on SpecFic just as much as I do?
