Review: Following on three years later from where “If I Stay” finished off, this story is told from Adam’s perspective. In the three years since Mia came out of her coma, Adam’s life has been feeled with heartbreak. Mia moved to New York and stopped talking to him. He is still in the band Shooting Star, they are now famous around the world and have won themselves Grammys. His girlfriend is a movie star. But he still feels like a shell of his former self.

So when Adam and Mia’s paths cross in New York City, neither of them know what to say to one another. What’s left to say? They spend one night walking around New York City where Adam tries to get answers to some of the questions he has been burning to ask Mia all this time. Namely why did she stop talking to him?

Such a beautifully written book, I actually liked this one more than If I Stay, however one would not be the same without the other, so really - these two books together make for one beautifully tragic story. Two these books have easily become two of my favourite books (amongst others!).
