Monday Mailbox #8

Good evening readers!! Welcome to a very late edition of Monday Mailbox, where I can share the books I bought and received in the previous week… although it’ll be two weeks worth this time around!

Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

Mailbox Monday is originally hosted by Marcia from A girl and her books and The Printed Page. In the summer of 2010 Marcia decided she needed a change in hosting and didn’t want to rely on one blogger alone to do it because its a lot of work so she decided to put Mailbox Monday on tour and so far with great success it has made monthly stops at more then a dozen blogs and this year is booked until the end.

Second Chance Summer - Morgan Matson

I loved Morgan’s first book Amy & Eric’s Epic Detour, so I am very keen to see what she has in store for us this time. I have heard this is one that’s going to make us all cry!

Taylor Edwards’ family might not be the closest-knit—everyone is a little too busy and overscheduled—but for the most part, they get along just fine. Then Taylor’s dad gets devastating news, and her parents decide that the family will spend one last summer all together at their old lake house in the Pocono Mountains.

The Thing About The Truth - Lauren Barnholdt

Ahhh Lauren Barnholdt, she writes some very engaging books. I have loved previous books she has written and I’ve bought a copy of her newest book - it’s been getting some good reviews too!

When Kelsey and Isaac meet, it’s anything but love at first sight. She thinks he’s an entitled brat, and he thinks she’s a stuck-up snob. So it surprises them both when they start to fall for each other. Kelsey’s happy for the first time in months, and Isaac’s never felt this way about anyone before…But nothing’s ever completely perfect. Everyone has secrets, and Isaac and Kelsey are no exceptions. These two may have fallen hard, but there’s one thing that can ruin it all: the truth.

Something Strange & Deadly - Susan Dennard

Mmmm bit of cover love for this book, I absolutely love it! It’s been a while since I got into a great zombie book, so I am looking forward to getting into this!

The year is 1876, and there’s something strange and deadly loose in Philadelphia…

Whoever is controlling the Dead army has taken her brother as well. If Eleanor is going to find him, she’ll have to venture into the lab of the notorious Spirit-Hunters, who protect the city from supernatural forces. But as Eleanor spends more time with the Spirit-Hunters, including their maddeningly stubborn yet handsome inventor, Daniel, the situation becomes dire. And now, not only is her reputation on the line, but her very life may hang in the balance.

So that is all from me this week, what did you receive this week? Let me know - leave your links in the comments section below!
