Monday Mailbox #12

Good morning! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day - today is my first day of two weeks annual leave, so I am feeling great! Smaller week this week, I didn’t purchase any books, but I did receive three in the mail.

Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

Mailbox Monday is originally hosted by Marcia from A girl and her books and The Printed Page.

The Raven Boys - Maggie Stiefvater

Thank you so much to Scholastic Australia for this! I am about 140 pages into this at the moment and it’s hard to explain, however it’s really really good!!! I am just about to head down to a cafe now to get into it more. Scholastic sent me an ARC copy this time last week, and then this morning in the mail I received the most beautiful hardcover finished copy of it. Just gorgeous! If you haven’t seen the cover up close, check it out, the part that appears white is actually a pearl silver that has a lovely shine!

The Lost Prince (The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten #1) - Julie Kagawa

Thank you so much to Harlequin Teen Australia for an ARC copy of this book. I am looking forward to seeing what the finished copy will look like!

I have a confession to make.. and I am only saying this because I am completely changing this at the moment. I haven’t read the Iron Fey series…. *ducks for cover*. I know! I know. I own them. So I am starting now with The Iron King (just as soon as I finish The Raven Boys). And my aim for my annual leave is to get up to date as much as possible so I can read The Lost Prince. Completely aware this is a new series, but I am assuming some background helps right? And I am a little bit pedantic about making sure I know the full story before heading in. So be prepared for a few Julie Kagawa reviews coming your way!

So that is all from me this week, what did you receive this week? Let me know - leave your links in the comments section below!
