Monday Mailbox #15

Good evening readers! Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

Mailbox Monday is originally hosted by Marcia from A girl and her books and The Printed Page.

After Moonrise - P.C. Cast & Gena Showalter

Thank you very much Harlequin Teen Australia for a copy of this book! This one is an interesting one, it seems to be two short stories - Possessed by P.C. Cast and Haunted by Gena Showalter combined in this anthology. There is also a preview of Alice in Zombieland also by Gena Showalter also. Looks like an enjoyable fast read, looking forward to this one!

Torn - David Massey

Thank you very much to Scholastic Australia for this copy! This looks really good - YA fiction set in war torn Afghanistan.

In the heat and dust, young British army medic Elinor Nielson watches an Afghan girl walk into a hail of bullets. But when she runs to help, Ellie finds her gone. Who is she? And what’s happened to her? What Ellie discovers makes her question everything she believes in, even her feelings for the American lieutenant who takes her side.

Venom (Secrets of the Eternal Rose #1) - Fiona Paul

I received a copy of this from Netgalley! Super pumped for this book, looks AMAZING! Love historical fiction!

Cassandra Caravello is one of Renaissance Venice’s lucky elite: with elegant gowns, sparkling jewels, her own lady’s maid, and a wealthy fiancé, she has everything a girl could desire. Yet ever since her parents’ death, Cassandra has felt trapped, alone in a city of water, where the dark and labyrinthine canals whisper of escape.

When Cass stumbles upon a murdered woman—practically in her own backyard—she’s drawn into a dangerous world of courtesans, killers, and secret societies. Soon, she finds herself falling for Falco, a mysterious artist with a mischievous grin… and a spectacular skill for trouble. Can Cassandra find the murderer, before he finds her? And will she stay true to her fiancé, or succumb to her uncontrollable feelings for Falco?
