W..W..W.. Wednesdays

It’s Wednesday which means it’s time to tell you what I have been up to for the past week! W..W..W.. Wednesdays is a weekly meme bought to you by MizB from Should Be Reading.

What are you currently reading?

Melissa - I am currently reading two books - The Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa (just started), and also Injustice: The Gods Among Us which is the DC Comics ARC I received.

Kristy - All the Truth That’s in Me by Julie Berry. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this from Harper Collins Australia, and I am loving it so far :)

What did you recently finish reading?

Melissa - I finished two books this week, Fire With Fire (Burn For Burn #2) by Jenny Han as well as The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. I enjoyed both books immensely. :D Fire With Fire was reviewed on Monday and The Naturals will be up next Monday.

Kristy - Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass #2) by Sarah J. Maas. I loved Throne of Glass, and for me, sequels rarely live up to the original, but this one certainly did! Review coming soon!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Melissa - Next on my TBR is The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. I litterally have like 8 books on my immediate TBR list, so I guess it just depends on what is coming out first. I also want to read The F- It List by Julie Halpern. Not an ARC but on my personal want to read list is Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers (His Fair Assassin #2) which came out in April this year.

Kristy - I think I will read Briar Rose by Jana Oliver next, but I am still hoping to get to Lexicon by Max Barry and The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken… yes, yes, I know this is the same as last week (although in a different order), but All the Truth That’s in Me jumped to the top of the list :)

What do you think?

  • Melissa - I can’t wait to read The Iron Traitor. Knowing Julie Kagawa, I am sure it will be emotional. The Bone Season is on my to read next list as well. I hope it lives up to all the hype surrounding it.

Kristy- I loved Crown of Midnight. Its going to be a long wait for the next book. The Darkest Minds was also a really great book, I am eagerly waiting for its sequel Never Fade.

Hope you enjoy your books ladies :)

      Hi Rushita,
I agree - it is going to be a very long wait until the next Throne of Glass book.. that’s the down side of reading a good series I guess :(
A lot of people are saying the same ting about The Darkest Minds - it is creeping up my TBR very quickly :)

  • Melissa - Julie Kagawa ftw.

Kristy - ToG was awesome indeed, and I can’t wait to read CoM! The Darkest Minds was great, so maybe it should move up to the top of that TBR list? ;3

I just finished reading Kissing Shakespeare by Pamela Mingle and The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd (I’m still speechless). Right now, I’m reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness (I had accidentally read the second volume first a few months ago. Whoops), and School Spirits by Rachel Hawkins.

    • Kristy says:

If you loved ToG, you will love CoM! My review for that will be coming this week :) The Darkest Minds is getting high on my TBR pile, I will be getting to it soon!
I hope you enjoy A Discovery of Witches and that not too much was ruined by reading the second one first - with so many series out there, this is becoming very easy to do.

  • Enjoy ur books….happy reading! :)
