In My Mailbox #2

Another In My Mailbox bought to you by The Story Siren! However this time it’s not bought to you via You Tube this week!

This week the following were all purchases I made since our Borders is still
open for a few more weeks and everything is 70% off at the moment, so I raided the YA section.

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl Published by Penguin Books – 563 Pages

I’ve heard some really great things about this book! I love the cover of it, I really think it’s gorgeous. And the good news is that I picked up two copies of this so one of them will be a giveaway copy coming up in the next month or so!

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick Published by Simon & Schuester – 391 Pages

They say never to judge a book by it’s cover but I am a sucker and always do. You can’t really tell from this picture, but the cover is silver and quite metallic looking. It’s beautiful. This series looks amazing and again I have
heard a lot about it, and so I also bought two copies and this will again be featured in an upcoming giveaway. This is the first book in the Hush, Hush series.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner Published by The Chicken House UK – 371 Pages

This was recommended to me due to my love for dystopian novels. My cover is actually different to this one, but I couldn’t find a decent sized image of the one I have. All I know is that the group of boys live at The Glade an encampment at the centre of a bizarre and terrible maze and they are chased by monsters… it sounds thrilling!

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White Published by Harper Collins – 335 Pages

The first book in the Paranormalcy series, I’ve been spotting this book everywhere lately and thought I thought get a copy for myself! The book looks really interesting: Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.

My Soul To Take by Rachel Vincent Published by Harlequin Teen – 279 Pages

The first book in the Soul Screamers series, I was hoping to get the second book in the series also, but they didn’t have any left! So right now I have the first and third (below) in this series, so I will be on the lookout for the sequel. This series isn’t new, but it does look great, and I have read a
little bit of Rachel Vincent’s work before and really enjoyed it, so looking forward to this read.

My Soul To Keep by Rachel Vincent Published by Harlequin Teen – 296 Pages

The third book in the Soul Screamers series. I just love how all these covers are a different colour. The second one I believe is green? Either way, I love it and I am sure I am going to love this series. Keep an eye out in the future
for a review of this series once I make my way through it.

The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide by Stephenie Meyer Published by Atom Books – 543 Pages

I couldn’t resist getting the hardcover version of this book just so I had all the Twilight books. I love that this goes completely into the history and nitty gritty of all of the vampire covens and I think this book will give fans a better understanding of the world that Stephenie Meyer has created. And maybe even inspire Stephenie to write some more about them?

I am expecting a huge delivery of about 7 or so books from Book Depository so hopefully that arrives this week sometime so I can show off my purchases next week!

In the meantime, what’s in your mailbox? Let me know!
