In My Mailbox #47

Good morning readers! Sorry for my absence in the last few days!! I’ve found since getting an iPad my time spent on my PC has diminished drastically. But I promise to get more organised and get online more often to post some updates!

On to IMM! As always In My Mailbox is a weekly meme bought to you by the lovely Kristi at The Story Siren. Kind of accidentally found I had a bit of a dead theme happening this week, which is a bit disturbing. lol Every book I have this week either has a theme of dying, zombies or purgatory. Crazy!

Revived - Cat Patrick

I love the Australian cover of this book!! It’s what made me look at it when I was at Dymocks the other night and ultimately what pushed me to buy it (after I read the blurb). After this post I am going to post a cover comparison of the Australian cover vs the US cover just because they are both SO different!

Bad Hair Day (Kate Grable #2) - Carrie Harris

I love this cover, it’s mysterious yet cute at the same time. I own the first book in this series, Bad Taste In Boys, but haven’t read it yet… I believe it’s a zombie series. I was stoked to have received this book as an ARC and I have about a while to read them both as this isn’t released until November this year. So I will definitely be reviewing both books before then. I can’t wait, they look like a dark, yet fun read!

Velveteen - Daniel Marks

Another ARC I received this week from Netgalley. This sounds dark and grisly, but all sorts of amazing, I am very excited to be reading this one!

Velveteen Monroe is dead. At 16, she was kidnapped and murdered by a madman named Bonesaw. But that’s not the problem.

The problem is she landed in purgatory. And while it’s not a fiery inferno, it’s certainly no heaven. It’s gray, ashen, and crumbling more and more by the day, and everyone has a job to do. Which doesn’t leave Velveteen much time to do anything about what’s really on her mind…. Bonesaw.

The Little Woods - McCormick Templeman

The cover on this is incredible right? The colours are amazing, I am in love with this! Another ARC from Netgalley, this sounds like a great book!

Are the woods behind St. Bede’s Academy really haunted, or does bad stuff just happen there? When Calista Wood, a new student, arrives midway through her junior year, St. Bede’s feels like a normal school . . . until she discovers that a girl had disappeared a couple of months earlier. Some kids think she ran away, others think she was murdered, but it’s only when Cally starts digging around that she finds the startling truth.

So that is all from me this week, what’s in your mailbox? Let me know - leave your links in the comments section below!

Hey Melissa, these look like great reads! You’re right, this edition of Cat Patrick’s Revived looks different of the US edition. Much better, too, I think! I want to read all of these books you have here! I’m getting the other three, I think. I requested them last week. Can’t wait! Hope you enjoy them! :)
